Questions and Answers about a NEWBORN session

Welcome! I’m so excited to capture these sweet early moments with your baby. Below are some helpful tips and answers to the most common questions so you can feel prepared, relaxed, and ready for a wonderful experience.

What Should I Expect During a Newborn Session?

Newborn sessions typically last about 3 hours. We take our time to keep baby comfy, safe, and sleepy, with plenty of breaks for feeding, soothing, and cuddling.

Sessions are scheduled for weekday mornings, usually around 10 days old, at my Fort Gibson studio.

What Do I Need to Bring?

Just yourselves — seriously! I have all the wraps, props, headbands, and backdrops needed.

That said, you’re welcome to bring any special items (a blanket from Grandma, a family heirloom, etc.) you’d love to include.

Are Parent and Sibling Photos Included?

YES — absolutely! Family and sibling shots are such an important part of the session. I’ll guide you through everything, so you feel relaxed and look your best.

What Should We Wear for Family Photos?

Be yourself! Neutral tones, soft textures, and simple layers always photograph beautifully.

Avoid large logos or bold patterns — but feel free to add accessories or layers you love.

Do We Receive Digital Images?

Yes! After your session, you’ll receive a full digital gallery to download, keep, and share.

No hidden fees, no surprises — just beautiful memories delivered straight to you.

Before You Arrive

    •    Try to keep baby awake for about 1 hour before the session if possible

    •    Give baby a full feeding right before or upon arrival

    •    Dress baby in a loose onesie or zipper outfit (no tight socks or mittens) to avoid marks on skin

    •    Bring extra bottles (if bottle-feeding) and pacifiers — even if baby doesn’t normally use one

Thank you for trusting me with your newborn’s first portraits. I can’t wait to meet your sweet little one and create images you’ll treasure forever!

Feel free to reach out with any questions before the session. See you soon!

About a Senior session

Location: We can do whatever you want as far as multiple locations! I try to keep them close together so we aren't spending too much time driving.

Outfit: Casual, dressy, layers. Bring it all! I usually can get through 4-5 outfits

We can even throw in a family photo during your session before you start that next chapter of life with your soon to be graduate.

About a One Year Old Session

Indoor Location: I'm currently doing indoor sessions out of my house in Fort Gibson

Outfits: Bring 4-5 outfits! I like to do themed and good ol' classic simple photos too.

Themed: I ask people to bring any party decor they would like. Like load up that laundry basket! I love when people bring balloon garlands too!

Cake? Sure!!! Most places will match your theme for free if it's simple. Lots of great local bakers too!
